TREASURE COAST RETRIEVER CLUB  -  HOME

Treasure Coast Retriever Club (AKC) is dedicated to improving the retrieving breed, the training and testing of retrievers and participating in the fellowship, cooperation and learning that can take place when people and dogs are working to reach mutual goals of excellence.

TCRC is licensed by the American Kennel Club, Inc., a national organization that licenses our Hunt Tests and Field Trials, maintains our qualifying scores and awards the titles that our retrievers earn. The Treasure Coast Retriever Club is also a Charter Member of the Master National Retriever Club. Six AKC Master Hunter passes during each year's qualifying time frame from MNRC Member Clubs is required to earn you and your dog an invitation to the annual Master National event. Though Treasure Coast is not currently a UKC/HRC club, many of our members participate in HRC Regular and Upland Hunt Tests. Additionally, some club members participate in other canine events such as Agility, Conformation, and Obedience - not to mention the enjoyment of taking your trained retriever hunting.

TCRC hosts three AKC Hunt Tests per year: in late January, in late February and in early December. We have added an AKC Field Trial event - an Owner/Handler Qual - to the Friday of the Fall AKC HT weekend. TCRC also hosts an AKC Derby/Qual in early January. In addition to actual field events, our club provides monthly training sessions for most of the year where we simulate hunt tests. We use the same birds and equipment you can expect to see at a test. The set-ups can be adapted to any level dog and training advice is always available.

The members of TCRC are very helpful and friendly , and you will have an opportunity to more fully appreciate, enjoy and grow with your retrieving dog. Remember, the more you put into your retriever and into your Club, the more you will get from them in return.
